Inspiration

a painting done in both acrylics and oil paints. the multicolor background is done in acrylics and the objects are done in oil paints. the painting represent some of my inspiration. it symbolize the trips me and my friend take to the coffee shop to brainstorm, discuss, and work on ideas. we usually go to the coffee shop and bring our laptops, get some coffee, listen to music while working on and coming up with ideas.

the concept of the painting is that the ipod and the headphones arent on a surface but they are actually part of the surface because they are in fact unfinished drawings in the process of being finished. they symbolize and idea or project or sketch i am working on at the time. while the coffee cup, the memo book, and the marker are lying on the surface that the ipod and headphones are drawn on. this symbolizes being at the coffee shop working on and coming up with ideas. in essence, the entire painting all comes together to symbolize my some of my inspiration and my process of coming up with ideas.
